Creating Customized Letterhead - Helpful Hints
Solution When creating customized letterhead, it is important to indicate the desired spacing for the header and footer. This provides Deacon with the ability to leave space on page 1 of the report for the custom header and footer. When customizing the letterhead in the Design Deacon Report window:

1. Select Project-User Variables from the menu.
2. Click the "@HeaderSpace" variable and enter a value in the edit box at the bottom of the window.
3. Click the "@FooterSpace" variable and enter a value in the edit box at the bottom of the window.
4. Click [OK] to save the values.

Please keep in mind:

a. These measurements are in inches.
b. The measurements should include any desired spacing between the header and the first line (at the top) and the last line and the footer (at the bottom). So, if the custom header is a 1.0 inch box which has been placed 0.5 inches from the top of the page, the @HeaderSpace measurement should be 1.0 inch plus 0.5 inch plus whatever "buffer" you would like before the text starts. If you want a 0.25" buffer, the @HeaderSpace value would be 1.0 + 0.5 + 0.25 = 1.75"
